6 Week Beginner Watercolour Painting Class

€120.00

This class is for anyone who would like to explore watercolour — whether you’re just starting out or have some experience and would like to deepen your practice. Watercolour is a medium of flow and patience, and together we’ll learn to work with the paint rather than control it.

We’ll begin with the essentials:

  • How to mix colour with clarity and subtlety

  • Brush handling and mark-making

  • Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques

  • Creating soft gradients and expressive washes

As the class progresses, we’ll move into more considered compositions, looking at:

  • Form and light in natural subjects

  • Layering and glazing for depth

  • Finding balance between looseness and detail

The focus throughout is gentle exploration, learning to let the medium breathe. Watercolour has a way of teaching us to slow down — to notice the small shifts of pigment, the quiet edges of a wash, the calm that comes from simply watching colour move.

You’ll be encouraged to take your time, to experiment, and to develop your own way of seeing. Support and feedback will be tailored to your pace and experience.

No previous knowledge is required — just openness and curiosity.
Those with some experience will find space to refine technique, expand confidence, and deepen expression.

Come paint in good company — slowly, softly, and with room to breathe.
